Ensure both trailer locks (Figure 1, Item 3) are fully retracted from IBC locking tabs (Figure 1, Item 4).

Back up vehicle in line with trailer and stop approximately 5 feet (1.53 m) from trailer. Refer to TM
9-2320-435-10 or TM 9-2320-425-10.
NOTE
Dashboard parking brake indicator will illuminate when PARKING BRAKE control is applied.
4.
Pull out PARKING BRAKE control (Figure 2, Item 5) and set transmission range selector (Figure 2, Item 6) to
N (neutral).
CAUTION
Do not position PTO ENGAGE switch to ON with HIGH IDLE switch ON. Engaging the
PTO with HIGH IDLE switch ON may result in sudden application of hydraulic pressure
to the LHS. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
PTO ENGAGE switch must be positioned OFF before road transport. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.
5.
Set PTO ENGAGE switch (Figure 2, Item 7) to ON. Indicator light (Figure 2, Item 8) will illuminate.
6.
Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 2, Item 9) to MAN HOOK ARM.
