Removing and replacing the CO2 inlet valve base requires cutting the buoyancy tube fabric which then
must be repaired by applying inner and outer patches. A thorough knowledge of the Appendix F fabric
repair procedures is required. Use the following procedure:
( 1 ) With the craft inflated, loosen the CO2 inlet valve base nut using a collar nut
spanner. Do not completely remove the nut at this time. Refer to figure 7-23.
