WARNING
When operating vehicle with PLS trailer, heaviest load must always be placed on vehicle,
otherwise adverse handling and/or braking may result. Failure to comply may result in
serious injury or death to personnel.
Ensure trailer air system is charged before beginning transfer or IBC locking tabs may
not properly engage. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
There must be sufficient air pressure 60 psi (414 kPa) in trailer air system to retract locks
or damage to IBC locking tabs can occur while attempting to load IBC on trailer. If air
pressure is not sufficient, use vehicle to charge trailer air system using trailer charging
hose. If air system cannot retract locks, use manual lock retract procedure. Refer to TM
9-2330-385-10. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Ensure both locks are fully retracted. Failure to comply may result in damage to the
equipment.

Push in on knob (Figure 3, Item 5) on trailer to retract both locks (Figure 3, Item 6).

CAUTION
Engine speed must be at idle prior to activating LHS MODE SELECT switch. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
The time to load and unload is controlled by engine speed. Engine speed can be increased
to approximately 1500 rpm to reduce loading and unloading times.

Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 4, Item 7) to MAN HOOK ARM.
