CAUTION
Valves must be at the 6 o clock position during disassembly to prevent
parts from falling into the air chamber.
( 3 ) Turn the flywheel on each of the four intercommunicating valves to the 6
o clock position (indicating arrow points to the green area marked
NAVIGATION).
NOTE:
Place grease in the end of a 10 mm deep well nut driver socket (this will retain
the nut).
( 4 ) Figure 5-4 identifies all parts of the intercommunicating valve and shows their
order of assembly. Referring to figure 5-4, remove the metal valve cap (item 1)
and metal valve insert (item 3) from the first intercommunicating valve, and
using a 10 mm nut driver, remove the 10 mm locknut (item 10) in the center of
the valve opening. (If the stud (item 16) is removed with the locknut, see
paragraph 7-18c.).
